Hey everyone,
I have just updated my windows pc to windows 10. It worked fine for sometime and then it started lagging a lot. I tried this best pc optimizer software to boost your performance and now even the booting process takes about 7-8 mins. Why is this happening? Does the update has anything to do with this? My guess is that Windows 10 is doing a ton of downloading for updates, running in the background and hogging your resources. Use search box to get to managing Windows Updates and stop or pause it for now. Try shutting the pc down, unplugging it,hold in power on button for several seconds then plug back in and boot. That might stop any processes or faults running.

Well I have 3 questions, are you using an SSD for your boot drive? Do you have a M.2. NVME slot on your motherboard? How much RAM do you have?
I ask these questions since if you upgraded from Windows 7 the resource center mentioned are higher and boot times are generally longer pending hardware. Bprat is right too though, currently on a new windows 10 install there is approximately 4-5 hours worth of updates. It is the most tedious aspect of my job when we send out new servers. |
