So apparently there is an update for IE 11 which is called: Cumulative Security Update for Internet Explorer 11 for Windows 7 for x64-based Systems (KB2909921) but when i try to install it i just get an error.

Since i don't use IE at all do i even need to worry about it?

Looking over the changes in KB2909921, I think you'll be fine to ignore it, especially if IE isn't your primary browser. Sometimes these updates are quirky when they first come out, I'd give it a week or so then try to download it again.
