Hi,
Just placed my order with DSO Friday night, and when I called, the guy recommended that I change my config from Windows XP Home to Window XP Media Center 2005. Wasn't thinking and went with the suggestion, but now I'm second guessing myself.

I went online and it looks like you get some interesting features, but a dumbed down interface for media centers instead of a standard Windows desktop config.

Does anyone have any experience with Media Center? I'm not looking to use it as a media center, but primarily as a gaming computer. Any thoughts?

Someone else correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the media center interface is in addition to the normal XP interface- you open the media center interface when you want to use it for media stuff, but can normally use the standard XP interface whenver you want.

Venture is right. Its XP and you only see the media center GUI when running it. It can be full screen or as a window. Ugly but it works OK.
