We are mostly gamers here. Your best bet for a quicker answer is to ask Digital Storm for their advice. They will do their best to meet your needs at your budget.
Edit: I've reconsidered. I have no experience in your field, but I do know a bit about computer parts, and your budget dictates a lot of answers to your questions. What you need most is computer cores. The more, the better. you cannot afford the 3950X, so the next best one in your budget is the 3900X with 12 cores. That's a lot of processing power. You need as much RAM as you can get, which is 32 GB. It would be nice to have a stronger power supply, but the 600W will do you for now. You need a fast NVMe SSD for your primary drive, so get the Seagate Firecuda. The RTX 2060 is the most powerful GPU you can get right now, and should not be a drag on your tasks. The bottom line on a system like this is $2003 after the discount. You can see it by entering the Config ID in the "Load Config" window from the upper right on the main page. Digital Storm Desktop - Config ID 3385582 If you can afford a bit more, get the larger 1TB Firecuda, so you can load larger projects. Then get the 850W power supply so you can get more powerful upgrades in the future. Don't hesitate to talk to DS and see what they think. Edited by Cretae - 14 Sep 2020 at 5:50am |

If you can afford the 3950X, it will be a large performance boost. Get 32GB of RAM for the first one, and it'll be a winner.
