wow. its been a while. things have changed

so... back around 2009, i was in the 9th grade and use to troll around on these fourms bitching about how they just removed the AMD stuff from the line up.

i really wanted an AMD rig man!

almost had enough saved to to get an i7 and 5870 rig from DS, but bought a 77 chevy truck

ended up building my own a few months later


my build as it sits today...total cost..1700, built my self over 5 years and called "ol war horse"

phenom 2 x6 1090t at 4.2ghz on a NH D15
msi 990fxa-gd80 mobo (kinda poop..should have went asus)
16 gigs of 1866mhz 9-9-9-3something muskin clocked at 7-7-7-21 at 1600mhz
6970 MSI lightning (when tax returns get here, a fury x)
corsiar HX 850 PSU
256 samgsung 840 pro
1 tb WD blue with 24,000 HOURS!!!!
2 TB WD black
all nochtua fans besides the 3 120mm front stock fans...the rest are 140mm mochtua...2 at the top, 2 on the side, 1 rear exhaust.

i like it

the cpu and mobo were first...already had the 1 TB wd blue and 4 gigs of DDR3....ran a 9800gt. cpu cooler was an actic cooling 13 pro?

then i got my 6970 lightning on release date.

after that, the 2TB wd black and the NH d15 cpu heatsink, plus 16 gigs of ram

about a year ago i got my SSD (holy crap i should have got one way sooner)

and now im getting a decent GPU again!

PS waiting for people to tell me my phenom 2 is going to bottleneck that fury x....wait till i tell them im running it on a PCI-E 2.0 slot!
