Budget:
1700, with a maximum of 2000.

Expectations:
Play a fair number of MMOs on High/Very High with solid FPS.

Usage:
Heavy/Moderate Gaming, college work, internet.
70% gaming, 20% music/movies, 10% work.

I know pretty much nothing about the interaction of laptop parts and how it compares to desktop parts, and my big concern is with the graphics card/processor combination. In the saved build I have up there, I have the x15 with a Nvidia 560M, and I was wondering if I needed the 2.4/3.5 processor, or if I should get the 580M. I'd prefer not to go with an AMD. My desktop had one, I couldn't play some games for a couple weeks after they came out because of driver bugs.

The NVIDIA GTX 560M is more than plenty for MMO based games. You could go with the 2.4GHz processor.
 
The laptop has the latest drivers from NVIDIA, and you can always download the latest from their site too as they become released.
