Hi I still have my old DS computer from long ago LoL. I am currently in need to upgrade my memory from 6 to 16. What type of memory can I use? I went to the evga website but its confusing and when i type that memory in google says to try this instead.. I have the x58 SLI MB with the technps ddr3 1600 2g cl8 memory now. Any help will be greatful

Welcome back gman6659. You are limited to DDR3 sticks but can get 16GB in any pc parts store (Newegg, Amazon...) Very easy r&r. Check the manual that came with the system to see the order for installing the sticks and what is max RAM. You might have to update the BIOS.

The CL is the latency. Simple answer is not to mix. However, you can match but it will run at the lowest speed. It is best if you get a kit which has all the same to avoid issues. I checked Amazon and you can get a 16 GB kit for around 50-60 dollars.
