So I've had this laptop for about two weeks. Classes are starting on monday, and today after playing planetside 2 for about an hour, I exit the game and the fans rpms go from idle to mid range speed. After restarting, the fan is stuck on high speed...
Any suggestions...Kind of disappointing.

Hi bendrake..   I don't know much about laptops but I would unplug it and pull the battery out for a couple of minutes and see if it resets.

Good luck.

This is what happens when I don't try everything before posting...haha
Shutting down the computer and taking out the battery seemed to fix the problem.

Awesome   Good news.

It's still a little odd.  I would email DS next week and run it past them.  Maybe nothing, but good to be safe.

Edit.. if you restarted right after gaming, the cpu or gpu might've been warm enough for Bios to start the fan on high as a safety precaution.
