I've been kicking around the idea of ordering the DS XM15 laptop, level 2. About the only change I would do is the upgraded thermal paste and the Bigfoot Networks Killer Wireless-N 1103 wireless adapter.
Now on to the question- What kind of battery life can I expect from this setup? I am a full-time student so, if I can avoid it, I don't want to be tethered to a wall by my charger. Thanks for your time, Zach |

I would say 5-6 hours if you aren't gaming not using the WIFI to stream movies/downloading.

Awesome, thanks for the help. Would I get better battery life if I did order w/ an SSD?

It will give another 30 minutes to an hour. The battery life for the xm15 is around 3 hours to 5 hours. |

So the SSD wouldn't be worth the purchase cost for the battery boost?

I don't have the system in question, so I will refrain from any advice in regards to battery life. However, I would also take into consideration the performance boost you would get from the SSD, as well as the extension of battery life that UnlicensedHitman mentioned. |
