I am looking to purchase a desktop and monitor from DS. I am yet another soldier returning home from Iraq within the next couple weeks. I pretty much stick to MMORPGs. Of course I mostly play WoW out of everything I play. From what I can gather choices depend mostly on the monitor you plan on running. Since I need one of those also I figure I should just one stop shop. I'm thinking the 22" or 24" depending on what the price difference of the rigs is. My price tag is around 2,000...If I could get a whole system for around that it would be great. Otherwise feel free to post whatever you feel would be optimal for my gaming.
Thanks in advance.

@ Offline... "returning home" is the phrase we like to hear...welcome, and have a speedy, safe trip back! You're right...there have been several GI's hitting the forum scouting out systems lately...and that's great

@ DST4ME... Realize OP's stated budget is around $2K...and your ticket after discount is sitting @ $2234...but, you usually add "consider" bumping PSU up to 1000w...is that still worth mentioning?? I always thought your rational for getting a bigger PSU upfront--"costs less now to get a bigger one than replacing it later" (should you want to upgrade)--really made sense. Not trying to butt in here...it's just an option I'd like to know/think about if I was the OP

With 2 x 275 we are already over his budget, its important that first and foremost he gets what will run his current setup with is the 2 x 275, if I add 1000w it will be way over his budget.
but yes consider bumping PSU up to 1000w is definitely worth mentioning |
