Hi again,
I know I'm a pain.  I could look this stuff online but I trust you guys and your knowledgability.
I once had Verizon DSL but I uninstalled all of that when I got my Comcast.  The problem is, even though I uninstalled it their security suite is stuck on my programs and I cannot remove it.  It just stays there no matter what I do.  This didn't really bother me until my computer was hacked and now the IE windows keep popping up with a "V" (Verizon) logo on the upper right hand corner. This tells me the hacker must be using Verizon internet to work his/her magic.  And my not being able to remove the Verizon Security Suite is really bugging me although, I understand it probably has nothing to do with the Buffer Overflow hack I have infested in my computer.
Does anyone have any idea how to remove this stupid Verizon Security Suite?  Or do you think I just shouldn't worry about it.
Also,I have to get an external hard drive and back up some of my files before I reformat my computer.  It'll probably be another week or two.  How much memory do you think I should get? I'm just backing up about 100 songs for my ipod and all the crap I downloaded for my Sims 2 game.  I downloaded a lot of stuff and I have all of the Sims 2 expansion packs.
???
And again, thank you!!!!Tongue

Oh and I have pictures too and I'd also like to back up all the drivers I've installed.  You can also suggest the better, most efficient and reasonably price brand also, if you just happen to know of any good ones.

Get a registry cleaner like CCleaner to remove all the Verizon left over from your registry. While you're at it use a good antivirus and antispywares to scan your pc -- You can use more than more antispywares apps.
