Yes this is my new PC, yes you can't have it, and yes it's one of the most SICK!!! looking Case out there for PC Build. Nothing but best in this setup!! Enjoy.. Yes it's Intel 965 I7 OC 3.7Ghz setup. An I don't want I920.. WD 300GB 10K RPM hard drive, WD 1TB black edition. 1050K watt Enermax PSU.. YES YES YES and YES!! Asus RamPage 2 Extreme Sysboard! I know but it's better then EVGA!! And yes just Sysboard, CPU, Casey, PSU, was over $2,000

Ya they announced that back in Jan I think, if it was not for the faulty touch power system and if cosmos s had better airflow I would go for it but for those reason I opted out.
its a beautiful case tho I will give you that

5 fans? that all you got? you know the HAF can fit 8 fans 2 of them 230mm and 1 is 140mm? also the HAF is more of an open case so there is less pressure to worry about. the touch power button is fine now, you do know DS used to carry the cosmos s right? we have watched many of them go out of here. I'm not just pulling stuff out of air. with a little luck yours will never have the problem and you will be fine.
@Paranoia, the rampage is not better then EVGA classified
again beautiful system Edited by DST4ME - 07 May 2009 at 9:31pm |

I don't like HAF CASE!! I know a lot of people on this board use that case in which DS using that case as well. My system runs very cool My MB temps never get over 30c also my CPU on full load gets max 72C You don't need tons of fans and a case that looks like AC unite to have good cooling.

Asus has been building sysboards for years, EVGA just started. Asus RP2 is for people who are really into OC. The EVGA CF is a nice board. But I would not want a board with Dig VRM. I have been using Asusboards for years on top of years and never have problems with them. |

Looks nice. Built a few cosmo S before, nice and roomy. I do find this statement a bit ironic though "Asus RP2 is for people who are really into OC" when this system is barely OC'd .lol Crank that baby up!

The Cosmos S does NOT have bad airflow, hell the whole front is just a mesh screen, so is one side and the top.
It is a horrible case though if you have pets or dusty areas as it lets the dust right in. I have to clean out my case once every 3 weeks about due to dust and hair.

all i7's are the same chip. no difference. the Extreme chips have unlocked multi's, same as other Intel platforms. So, short answer, no, the R2e is meant for 1366 platform, so all i7's work.

Well that is wrong, info the 965 has a lot more then that. The 965 has fully unlocked MultXX from 12 to 63 Also you can pick what cores user Turbo mode. Also the QIP on 965 is 6400 not 4800 like 920. |

lol. I said they have unlocked multi's....the qpi is whatever you set it in the bios..picking turbo mode same with 920, just matters the bios/mb, some you can pick each core, some you can't.

??? What about the fact that every piece of mesh in the entire case has a dust filter? If you STILL have to clean it out every 3 weeks, imagine a HAF, since it has no filters. Plus, sleek > rugged IMO, that's why I prefer the Cosmos S over HAF, though the HAF has been growing on me. |

I like the cosmos s myself, I already mentioned why I didn't get it, the touch power can turnout to be buggy and my 3 x 295 will burn in there, cosmos s can't handle my use of 3 x 295, it just does not have the airflow, most importantly at the side door.
a quick search of this forum alone will show what hell asus put the rampage users thru earlier this year, also EVGA offers more PCI express and all at 3 x 16x if needed. |

There isnt a dust filter for the front mesh. The dust filter is only on the bottom fan(s) where it sucks in air for the power supply.
