Hey I've got a vanquish V model in stage 6, hopefully it ships soon.
As I understand it it has a m2 slot in the asus z170k board. I'm looking for a 250/500 gb m2 that would be a good match to the board, if anyone has any reccomendations, looking at around $150. I put my boot drive as a 250gb EVO so the m2 slot should be currently empty.

-- Also I know some parts can be ordered from DS, if so what would they offer / price their drives at if anyone knows?

Hi aaronw,

Your best choice is the Samsung 950 PRO -Series 256GB PCIe NVMe - M.2 or the Samsung 950 PRO -Series 512GB PCIe NVMe - M.2. These cards operate in your M2 slot at x4 speed and are much faster than your Evo. This is the drive you would want your operating system on.

Now the bad news, 256Gb is $182 and the 512Gb is $327. Same price at Newegg or Amazon.

if you're aren't necessarily in the market for the fastest/newest tech you can look at less costly alternatives:
