What do you all think of my build? Strictly gaming and some emulation and streaming
Cost came out to about 2700 Should I overclock the cpu or leave it as is for now? Should I get the 1080 or wait for ti version? I won't be doing 4K for about a year. And also can I do anything to void my warranty? Only asking if I want to upgrade anything most likely the video card when the new TI releases. Wondering how that works. I pulled the trigger couldn't wait any longer. Ended up overclocking the cpu. Can't wait!
How hard/easy is it to upgrade the video card? Probably want the 1080 ti when it comes out. Edited by Marvc13 - 08 Jun 2016 at 12:06pm |

I was going to say - if you're getting a 6700K just have DS overclock it for you. Without 4k, that overclocked 980TI will still be plenty of power for you. Post pics when you get it!

Great customer service! Just saw the 1070 dropped on the site so I called and switched out my 980ti for the cheaper 1070! Since my build was still in stage 1. Hope I made the right choice!
Thx DS |

The 1070 has a great price to performance. The 1080 Ti is many months away, quite possibly not going to be released until next year.
The only change I would now suggest is going to the better 750W PSU with a higher efficiency and much longer warranty. |

Is the psu I'm getting really that bad? Will I regret it?

It could be good enough for what you're doing. If you want to upgrade your PC over time, then the upgrade would be worth it. But if you're going just get a new computer 5 years down the road, then the lower one is fine.

It finally came! Love it! It's bigger than I anticipated and barely fit where I planned to put it haha.
I had a question though about the fans. There's 3 in the front lined up from bottom to top that are not running. Is that normal? Do they turn on if the CPU/gpu are getting to hit or do I have to hook me up myself somehow. I got like 10 extra wires I don't know what to do with lol. Any help is appreciated it. Thanks Edit: also never knew you could overclock your monitor haha crazy. My 60ghz is now 77ghz! Edited by Marvc13 - 14 Jul 2016 at 11:55am |

The front fans should be on. I would find the wires coming from the fans and trace them to make sure they're plugged in. Could've loosened during shipping.
The extra wires might be extras from the power supply not being used. If not, post a pic. Edited by bprat22 - 14 Jul 2016 at 12:54pm |
