Hello! Haven't tested in game yet, but from the looks of things this computer is going to be awesome!
I noticed that the installed GTX 1080's overclock is very conservative: the power limit hasn't been touched, with the core at +50 and memory at +100. The GPU is watercooled, so I am confused as to why it wasn't pushed any farther. Is it the 600 watt PSU? -- Salangsang Here is a picture of the system up and running! |

Very nice DS does not max out oc on gpu. Also put the gpu underload and see what your temps are.

Under load temps were sitting at ~46-48 celsius when I pushed clocks down to stock in Heaven. After dialing in +200 to core and +500 to memory, temps stayed ~50. WHen I was actually in game (Battlefront), GPU stayed stable at 55C with the CPU hitting high 60s and low 70's.
Perchance, would you--or anyone--know how to change the LEDs on the reservoir? -- Salangsang |

Your control center software from DS should be able to let you change led and etc.
OK if after playing games for 30 min the max temp was 70c then you got room to push the oc, Here is a guide if you like |

Be careful with water cooled systems. You do not want to exceed 60 degrees C in the water loop at the pump (which happens to be immediately following the radiator at the coolest point in your loop).

The Digital Storm software reads the fluid as 38C-- is this the temperature you are talking about aA?
Additionally, I have realized that the CPU Area and GPU area temperatures shown in the DS software are not the actual readings of the parts. |

Yes, the reading in the hardware parts would be done with other software (it would be nice if DS incorporated all of it into one interface). DS reads off of thermal probes they have stuck onto components. Not sure where they have it for the water temp, you may be able to trace the probe if you wanted to open up the case to find out.
Edit: But like I said, the pump is at the coolest point in the loop, so if the water temp reading is below 60, your pump will have water that is no hotter than that, no matter where that reading is coming from. Edited by - 30 Jun 2016 at 10:27pm |

Have a look here and get the stuff you need for temps get hwmonitor and see what it reports against DS software.
What makes you think those are not your temps? keep in mind they are reporting the chip's temp, not the rest of the area. |

Probably posted too close together, but DS reads their temps off of thermal probes they stick around the computer, and not from the temperature readings directly from the components. |

Thanks to the both of ya.
DST4ME, DS control states GPU area at 31C-- HWMonitor states 35C. When gaming, HWMon, Afterburner, GPU all show low 50s high 40s readings on GPU. However, DS stays below 40. |

Ok lets go with afterburner and hw for temps then.
Now when we say gaming we mean at least half an hour continuous. |

The pump you are using has a max 60c operating temp plus 60c liquid temp at your coolest point in the loop is kinda of high.

What happens when the temps exceed 60c?

Lets not find out and say we did otherwise one failure will let to another.
Normally when you exceed specifications you will endup with failure of the part. Edited by DST4ME - 06 Sep 2016 at 9:58am |

Well the reason I as is because it won't take much to exceed 60C temperatures on CPU/GPU, i'm not sure how those temps translates into pump temps... I would think it's close to that....

No cpu/gpu temps are different than your loop temps.
