I've noticed that the most of the forum "regulars" tend to be on in the morning for me on the Central time zone. You probably won't see much traffic aside from Snaike today, and I'm no help to myself much less anyone else.

Your best bet under $200 is the new GTX 1650 SUPER. Don't get the older, "regular" 1650. The 1650 SUPER performs pretty much like a 1660 which costs over $200.
Like I said in the other thread, I wouldn't go for more RAM until you need to. It means you would take the functional RAM you have and toss it out, practically unused. IMO, RAM is a commodity. Everyone who makes it knows how, been doing it for decades, and has a minuscule failure rate. When the time comes, you should find competitive pricing among several brands you've heard of. I believe your mobo supports RAM speed up to 2660 MHz . You should have a manual for the board that tells you, or you can look it up on the board's website.

The Lynx L1 is a no-frills budget oriented build. There must have been a reason why you chose that build. Your future performance upgrade paths are limited. This build is not intended for overclocking. Going from an integrated GPU to discrete GPU card can certainly help with gaming and some GPU-oriented tasks.
You need to do some homework to find out what your needs are. The biggest issue with GPU cards is the amount of available VRAM. The less VRAM, the worse the performance. You need to consider size of the cards to make sure they will fit your case; style of card (blower or axial fan) consistent with your case cooling needs; and even the kind of output your are looking for (HDMI vs Displayport; 60Hz or greater refresh rates). For your build, buy your RAM kits in pairs. Don't mix and match RAM types/manufacturers. Given your build, paying extra for RAM speed (e.g., >3000 Hz) and tighter timings (e.g., CL16) won't get you more performance for the price. The biggest bang for performance will be in use of SSDs (OS on M2 and data on SATA) over conventional HDD. |
