I am confused as to connecting monitor to the GPU.
All the ports look the same - long Usb-looking plugins. I see a silver plate with screws - am I supposed to leave this? Are the ports behind it? My current monitor cable doesn't seem compatible with the Gpu ports. Please help - Thank you Klingklang |

Could you recommend what power cable goes into the 1x GeForce RTX 3070 - I have a Dell monitor using a Dvi-D cable that plugs into the computer.
I do not know which cable to use - I see the HDMI port on the Lynx, but can't tell which other ports there are on this model. I need a new Dvi-D to HDMI? Is there a power recommendation, or other particular that matters? There is still the question of the silver plate - but I don't know if there are hidden connections there or I am already looking at the ports available. Thanks for your service Klingklang |

Welcome to DS, Snaike has posted where the monitor connects to the pc through the gpu. It most probably has HDMI, DP and maybe USB-C outputs. You can use any but make sure you get the latest cables (HDMI 2.1, DP 2.0) to connect pc to monitor. DVI is not used but you can use an adapter to connect the monitor if it does not have any of the other inputs (HDMI or DP) The "silver plate" is the I/O plate or shield and protects the mobo. There is no need to take off since all inputs/outputs are shown on it. Good luck and enjoy. |
