That card looks pretty beefy! I'm curious to see where the 1080 TI ends up by comparison.

Very good news. Wonder if it will bottleneck the 6700k?

I doubt it will bottleneck the PCI-e lanes. DirectX 12 and Vulkan are only making the CPU-GPU communications more efficient, as well.
Oh yeah, August 2nd is the release date for this card. Perhaps we can expect the 1080 Ti later on this year. |

No worries by the time you need to upgrade your 1080 you can get the next titan instead of this one, which will make this one look like a joke Edited by DST4ME - 23 Jul 2016 at 3:52am |

My place looks like an assisted care facility for old and dying computers. I did most of my builds in the 90s and my last one was around 10 years ago.. I need my new one to class up the place. lol |

So the new Titan should be able to run 4k with top settings without problems? Hopefully the price will be lower when the new 4 k monitors hit the market..

this might be a case where you don't get the TI version (if there'll be one). if this card can barely handle 4K on its own (and testing still has to be done to prove one way or the other), and i'm talking about maxed out 4k on today's toughest games with a sustained 60FPS or better, then the TI would be an extremely niche card at a difficult price>performance price point. in fact, i'd say that even the 1080 becomes a superfluous card considering a 1070 can max out 2K. however, if there is a TI version and it can handle maxing out 4K as a single gpu then this Titan becomes the superfluous card. i can't wait for benchmarks.

In Oct. My pc will have its second birthday and I think a GPU upgrade will be appropriately needed then. Have 980s under water now. |

Does anyone know if DS will carry these on release day? If so, I'd be willing to wait if I am able to change my order to get 2 (for SLI) Titan X GTX 1080 cards. My PC should be shipping soon, but if I am allowed to change my order from dual gtx 1080 SC ACX 3.0 cards to dual GTX 1080 Titan X cards, I'd be willing to wait!!!
Alex???? Anyone???? lol |

I've emailed John at Digital Storm. I hope I'll find out before my Hailstorm ships, lol. Because the GTX 1080 Titan cards are what I really wanted at first, but thought that they wouldn't be released until next year. We'll see I guess, lol... :D

I would say 1-2 weeks after release day, NVIDIA has been doing a lot of paper launches where products are not even available until a later date.

Thanks for the replys.
John emailed me back. There will be an additional wait and an obvious price adjustment. But dual GTX 1080 TITAN X cards, here we come!! Lol. |

A stock market journal, The Motley Fool, states that it will be available directly from NVDA and "select system builders".

I would wait until Ek or someone makes the waterblock for this. Seems like it would need LC.
