Hi Everyone,
I just purchased an Aventum X, and am super excited. Have been building PC's for 20 years, and custom water-cooled PC's for 10 years, and figured it was time to let someone else do it lol. I have a few questions on the Hydrolux water-cooling setup. Brief specs overview below: 5800x 3090 850w PSU (have a 1500w ill be adding to it) Exotic Cables Hydro Lux Cooling on CPU/GPU with Clear Hard Line tubing I have found conflicting info on how many radiators are included in this beast. Is 2x560mm and 1x280mm correct? Does this change if you only elect to get one GPU? I selected the option to water-cool both CPU and GPU. I have a 3090 from my current build that I am planning on adding to the system, so I want to be sure that the amount of radiators is not impacted by the number of GPU's selected. Also, I chose the clear hardline tubing. Is this PETG, or Acrylic? Thanks everyone, I appreciate the help! Super excited to join the community. |

I had an Aventum 3 from 2015, and it had 3 radiators: 560mm, 420mm, and 280mm.
The machine had 3 liquid cooled 980 Ti cards when it was built. I'm not sure if the number of radiators varies from machine to machine though. |

Yeah I saw that on the product page, just wanted to confirm that didn't change based on configuration. There are only a handful of reviews on this monster, and each of them list different radiator specs, so just wanted confirmation :). Thanks for the response! |

I assume, your doubt/confusion is due to examples such as...
UNBOXING the GOD OF GAMING PCs!! | Linus Tech Tips (YouTube) ... Where Linus seems to conclude the top radiator is a 420mm rad, not a 560mm. I can't tell/verify via that video nor the marketing photos the size of the top radiator. Beyond your curiosity, I think, you'll be totally fine with 140x1260mm (560+420+280) or 140x1400mm (560+560+280) equivalent radiator cooling. People run CPUs cooled by 120x240mm rads or 120x360mm rads with plenty of headroom. And the EVGA RTX 3090 K|NGP|N seems to do okay with a 120x360mm rad plus the 80mm or whatever fan that's on the card. So, 120x720mm total... say 120x840mm with the graphics card heatsink. But... I'm not a custom loop enthusiast and just doing the simple math comparison. Edited by MrCheetah - 21 Oct 2021 at 4:56pm |
