Hello all, I recently purchased a system from Digital Storm and wanted to give a review on it. It was delivered to me around two weeks ago and since then I have used it extensively to see how it would perform against the games I currently had. Right now I can say I am absolutely impressed and amazed by the capabilities of this system. It's sleek, looks nice, and doesn't make much noise either. The only downside I've had thus far is that I couldn't opt in to get a GTX 1080 TI, but that's okay. Currently, the GTX 1080 gives me +60 fps all ultra settings anyways. Games like Nier: Automata, Black Ops 4, Subnautica, Witcher 3 are absolutely blown out of the water by this system.
Here were the specs that came with the machine: Intel Core i7-8700 (4.6 GHz Turbo) (6-Core) 3.2 GHz (Not Overclockable) 16GB DDR4 2666MHz Digital Storm Performance Series 600W Digital Storm Performance Series (Supports up to an NVIDIA GTX 1080 GPU) 1x SSD (240GB Digital Storm Performance Series) M 1x Storage (2TB Seagate / Toshiba) 1x GeForce GTX 1080 8GB (Performance Edition) (VR Ready) Remote Controlled LED Lighting System (Multiple color options and lighting effects) AIR: Stage 1: High-Performance Copper Heat Pipe Cooler Now for the photos. <3 Apologies about the reflection, the panel is glass on both the front of the machine and the side. It's held up by notches, very easy to unscrew. Careful though because once they are unscrewed there's nothing holding up the glass so take care not to let it drop.
Things to note: On top of the machine, there's a silicone removable panel, I'm guessing for more air flow. On the back of the machine, I can understand that it looks like a cluster with all my cords in it. I'll explain, I basically have 4 USB ports taken for my keyboard, mouse, microphone and wireless dongle. Then on the graphics card I've used a display port out of the 3 that are provided and the HDMI port. P.S I may have forgotten some information and may come back to make some adjustments to my post. Feel free to ask me questions and whatnot. Thanks for your time! Edited by Austin1477 - 27 Oct 2018 at 3:06pm |

Thanks for taking the time to share! Awkward navigating to the photos. You can post them yourself in the review article, you just have to load them into Paint and resize them so they'll fit. Not that I'm any good at it, I just know that's what works!

Nicely done and thanks for the pics! One scoop of "awesome-sauce" please!
One point of minor concern from one Vanquish owner to another; having the case on the floor on carpet may affect your PSU fan and intake filter on the bottom. Keep a note to clean it more often than usual. |

I purchased this exact same machine in July and still to this day I'm completely blown away by not only the awesome components that came inside the case but also the quality of work that DS produces. I have no doubt that they put the same amount of love and care into my $1800 prebuilt as they do a $5000 custom build. The professional look and testing they did was well worth the small amount of money I possibly could have saved by building it myself.
I'm sure eventually the Vanquish will come with a 9700 and 2080. I sometimes have regrets of not holding off but I learned very quickly when I joined this forum that there is always going to be something "coming soon" and sometimes you just have to go ahead and dive on in or you'll be waiting forever. http://www.digitalstorm.com/forums/loving-my-vanquish-7-level-4-tidf31388/ Edited by Fishman23 - 28 Oct 2018 at 1:00pm |
