while my DS gaming system is on transit, this might be a noob question, but  which one should I use as a connector? DVI-DL(Dual Link)? or the HDMI? Thank you all :)

They both functional roughly the same. HDMI will have additional features like audio pass-though, if you plan on using speakers built into your display.

So HDMI is basically a lot better with some features than the other doesn't have? And yes, I would use the speakers built in to the gaming monitor for now, I know its not powerful enough, but I plan to buy a headset for gaming sometime in the future.

The image quality will be essentially the same. You just get audio, plus some additional features (some you can't make use of with a computer yet, like Consumer Electronics Control).
