You will really be amazed by the Samsung 980 PRO. It is lightning fast!!! I love mine. But I just got the 500GB 980 PRO for my OS & daily games and a 1TB Samsung 970 EVO PLUS for my game library.

That build is very strong, but you can't expect 10 years out of anything.

IMHO, tech advances are accelerating much too rapidly now than to allow a ten year lifespan for gaming. If you play older and older games as time goes by, maybe, but AAA games 10 years from now will demand we all keep up.

I think the CPU may have 5-7 years in it, the RAM may be sufficient, but easy to upgrade, the power supply will last as long as it can. The GPU is an excellent choice for a pretty high performance build right now, but as my friend hoserator points out, you will be replacing that sometime to keep up.

All that "will work". It's what most all of us do after we invest $3500 in a new rig. The beauty of it is that CPUs are way ahead of the curve, which means incremental upgrades in some of the other parts will allow a pretty long lifespan. Your storage choice is cutting edge, and I don't see a whole lot of need in future for more than what they can do: load up to 5000MB/second!
