I've been waiting... and waiting...  I believe it is worth the wait.  I am assuming the pricing is comparable with the Aventum II.

i seriously doubt the AV3 is going to come in at (or even around) the same price as the AV2.  with all of the chassis redesign to improve connectivity and better support custom water cooling with bigger rads, etc. just the case alone will hike up the "premium" price tag on this rig.  of course that hasn't stopped me from waiting for itWink

OK this is the last thing I've been waiting for before ordering my 3rd system from you guys. Windows 10 √ , Intel i7-6700k √ , Aventum 3 case .... Soon as these come in I'm ready to order my new system.

With the new cases can we expect any difference in overclocks? With the Skylarks announced today I see the overclocks being expected to be 4.5-4.8 GHz with the HydroLux cooling on the Aventum 2. I'm guessing we can expect at least similar on the Aventum 3.

AVENTUM 3 has better cooling power, but CPU overclocking is not limited to thermal no more, you can hit 4.7GHz+ on Skylake with basic liquid cooling.

You can sort of do it...find the minimum configuration doable for yourself and then add in the components you want when you get it. The Aventum 3 is actually designed to do that with water cooling.

I did configure a system to the lowest price. $1505 was the total on the Aventume 2. Roughly $560 in hardware that I'm paying DS around $700 for, to try and sell off for around 3 to 400. That means I would be paying $1200 for a case that's probably worth around 6 to $700 retail.

If you don't want to build your own computer DS is the way to go.

But I like the the look of the case and want to build my own computer. So please consider making your cases available to purchase.

It's all about the cost delta.

I got a system that was "good enough," except for the lowest spec GPU. I shelved the GPU and put in my own, plus my own storage (did not order any).

I now have a good computer with an awesome chassis that I can upgrade in the future, no problem. It will last me many years, until at least PCI-e 4.0 (currently around development revision 0.7 at PCI-SIG) gets replaced. Support, when needed, has been good, too.

Pardon the interruption... I just find it a bit ironic that Digital Storm started (IIRC!!) as a parts warehouse and moved to system building as a business model.

Now that they have proprietary cases, they are requested to go back to selling parts.

The more things change, etc etc.

I think Alex has stated awhile back that they won't sell cases separate unless they change their minds later on in the future but i dunno.

We won't be selling the case alone. Just so you guys know, the chassis costs over $1,000+ when you factor in the engineering/design that goes into the process.

That is one beautiful case. I did contemplate this over my Harker. However, with the double cost and just spending five grand on some new musical gear, boss mama gave me that look. You married guys know what I am talking about.

Any word on what the base color is? I see the oh so vibrant red case of the Aventum 3. I am hoping/assuming it is black like in the videos from January with the same option to choose a white variant or have it custom painted like the Aventum 2.

You can count me as one of those that is ready to say "Shut up and take my money." as soon as I can order the piece of Art.
